Steve Shell Promoted To President Of Animal Health Distributor MWI

AmerisourceBergen has named Steve Shell president of its Animal Health business. In his new role, Shell will lead MWI Animal Health ; in addition, he will be responsible for the AllyDVM, Micro Technologies, MWI UK, and Securos Surgical businesses. Shell previously served as Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at MWI.

Steve Shell serves as President of AmerisourceBergen Animal Health. Before joining AmerisourceBergen in May 2020, Steve served as Executive Vice President, Insurance Operations and Partnerships at Fetch, Inc. - a role in which he led and developed business structure, operational strategies, technology, and product roadmaps and partner relationships, in addition to expanding Fetch's influence in the US and Canadian markets for companion pet health insurance.

Prior to Fetch, Steve was Vice President and General Manager, US Companion Animal Business Unit at Merck where he led commercial, operational, and technical functions in the US Pet, Equine and HomeAgain Technology business units. Steve also worked at Pfizer Animal Health leading their US Companion Animal and Cattle Business Units, including sales, veterinary operations and marketing functions in the Small Animal Veterinary, Beef/Feedlot and Dairy Groups where he managed diverse distribution channels. He began his career with American Cyanamid.

These combined experiences, know-how and vast industry relationships have allowed Steve to leave an impressive impact on the Animal Health space.
