Renee Hamilton Joins Selects Sires As Beef Acquisition And Product Management Specialist


Plain City, OH - Reneé Hamilton joins Select Sires' beef department as a beef acquisition and product management specialist. Hamilton is working towards her Bachelor of Science in agriculture at The Ohio State University with an anticipated graduation date in December 2022. She started working at Select Sires as a livestock technician in June 2020 and the beef department is excited to welcome her to this new role.

"Renee's involvement in industry organizations and youth programs has elevated her knowledge and passion for the industry," said Lorna Marshall, vice president of beef genetics. "The Select Sires beef team looks forward to Reneé’s contributions in sire development and her enthusiasm for elite genetics."

Hamilton has been active in the National Junior Angus Association, Ohio Cattlemen's Association and Agriculture Future of America. She has also held offices and leadership positions in the Ohio Junior Angus Association and Sigma Alpha, a professional agricultural sorority. In addition to her role as a livestock technician with Select Sires, Hamilton has on-farm experience working for Painter Farms in Hebron, Ohio. For nearly four years, she was tasked with daily chores that included feeding, herd health and reproductive programs.

As a beef acquisition and product management specialist, Hamilton will provide administrative support to all aspects of Select Sires' beef program. She will be responsible for genetic contracts and royalty processing, while offering support and resources to Select Sires' customers and field staff.
