Let's delve into the key highlights of the report for February and March, focusing on beef, pork, poultry, eggs, and milk production.

Beef Production:

The report indicates a notable increase in beef production, rising from 26,185 billion pounds in February to 26,325 billion pounds in March, reflecting a 140 million pound increase.

Pork Production:

Pork production also experienced a modest uptick, climbing from 27,880 billion pounds in February to 27,910 billion pounds in March, marking a 30 million pound rise.

Poultry Production:

Broiler production witnessed a significant increase, jumping from 46,775 billion pounds in February to 46,875 billion pounds in March, indicating a 100 million pound uptick.

However, turkey production faced a slight decline, decreasing from 5,395 billion pounds in February to 5,370 billion pounds in March, reflecting a 25 million pound reduction.

Despite the decline in turkey production, the total poultry production still saw a modest increase, reaching 52,818 billion pounds in March, up from 52,740 billion pounds in February, with a rise of 78 million pounds.

Red Meat & Poultry Production:

The combined production of red meat and poultry witnessed a significant rise, reaching 107,233 billion pounds in March, compared to 106,986 billion pounds in February, marking a 247 million pound increase.

Other Protein Commodities:

Egg production experienced a decrease, dropping from 9,305 billion dozen in February to 9,293 billion dozen in March, reflecting a reduction of 12 million dozen.

Milk production also saw a decline, decreasing from 228,200 billion pounds in February to 227,300 billion pounds in March, indicating a reduction of 900 million pounds.
