Premier Herds Offer Heifers for Red Angus Foundation, Inc. Annual Auction

Denver – All eyes will be on the block at the upcoming Red Angus Foundation, Inc. auction during the 68th National Red Angus Convention. The auction will take place Sept. 16, 2021, at 7 p.m. at the Riverside Hotel in Boise, Idaho. Numerous generous donations have been made to ensure the highest quality of items for bidding, however, the jewel of the evening is the “Pick of the Herd” graciously donated by McCann Red Angus, Loosli Red Angus or Rocking Bar H Ranch.

Buyer of the “Pick of the Herd” will have his or her choice from the designated heifer group from these prominent herds. Additionally, on Thursday morning during the Superior Livestock Productions sale, Lorenzen Ranches will offer a heifer from either the 2021-born or 2022-born heifer crop. This is a unique year for the auction as two buyers will walk away as “Pick of the Herd” winners.

The proceeds of this prestigious sale will be directed to the RAFI Research and Development Fund. This fund ensures RAFI will continue to finance meaningful research projects throughout the U.S. and continue RAAA’s longstanding tradition of providing universities with much needed beef cattle research funding.

In addition to the “Pick of the Herd,” buyers will vie for numerous items on the RAFI Auction:

$1,500 discount on a Silencer chute

 Decorative cow skull

 Jim Morton canvas photograph

 “Founder’s Vision” framed 1/250 print
