Pork production up slightly from last week

Total pork production under Federal inspection for the week ending Saturday, October 28th, 2023 was estimated at 550.1 million lbs. according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Marketing Service.  This was up 0.5 percent from a week ago and 0.1 percent lower than a year ago.  Cumulative pork production for the year was 0.2 percent higher than the previous year.
