Lot 3 - Miss V8 57/0 Sells for $39,500 on the V8 Ranch "Made for Magic XI" Online Sale

Luxury phenotype with all the bells and whistles. Miss V8 57/0 is tremendous from the profile—balanced, proportional, and smooth. But she’s more than just pretty. She’s got the rib shape, muscle, and breed character it takes—just like her dam.

We always get excited when we have a female worthy of being bred to the legend himself, +Mr. V8 380/6—the machine that keeps on delivering. With his semen getting rarer by the day, we reserve it for only the most deserving females. Her dam, Miss V8 277/9, was one of them.

A star from Sloan’s very first calf crop, 277/9 was a daughter of +Miss V8 463/7, the Reserve National Champion calf in 2011 under Pasquale Swaner, and from the +Miss V8 410/6 cow family. She reminded us so much of that original matriarch—a modern echo of a timeless legend. In the show ring, she was dominant: Grand Champion at Heart of Texas, Cattlemen’s Congress, and San Antonio, where she was also named Supreme Champion American. She was a class winner at the National Show.

Tragically, she passed away just as her donor career was beginning. But her early calves told us all we needed to know. We made a bold decision—she would become the first V8 female ever cloned. The clone is coming, but this one is straight from the source.

Females like 57/0 are why we love breeding to +Mr. V8 380/6. It’s hard to make one more balanced. Direct daughters of “The Machine” are nearly impossible to come by now—his semen is off the market—and in our (admittedly biased) opinion, they’re the crown jewels of any program. Many top breeders in the world agree. They bring a look that’s unmistakably V8, paired with EPDs that only sweeten the deal.

If I were building a donor pen today, she’d be one of the first I’d pick. All signs point to her being a cow that will be impressive her entire life.
