There was plenty to celebrate at Ft. Pierre Livestock in Ft. Pierre, South Dakota, on Friday. Records were shattered across multiple weight classes, making it a memorable day for the auction. National highs for Friday were achieved in the 5-, 6-, 8-, and 10-weight categories. A personal all-time high was set in the 4-weight class, with 29 steers averaging 409 pounds selling for $426.00. Additionally, the 5-weight class reached a new personal record, with 115 steers averaging 507 pounds commanding $372.00.

The top national sale for 6 weights on Friday was 95 steers averaging 602 pounds, sold for $340.00. This sale ranked as the sixth highest in Ft. Pierre’s history. The 8-weight category also set the pace nationally, with 65 steers averaging 866 pounds selling for $267.50, earning the fifth spot in Ft. Pierre’s all-time records.
