Green City Livestock Marketing celebrated its Annual Beef BBQ Customer Appreciation with a record-setting two-day Firework Sale that drew strong buyer support and exceptional cattle. In what will be remembered as one of the best sales in the barn’s history, Green City set an astounding 35 all-time barn records, 13 Missouri state records, and 4 national records—an unprecedented achievement reflecting the quality and momentum of the current feeder market.

The barn posted new all-time highs across multiple weight classes, with several sales also entering the national record books. On July 2, 2025, 11 head at 615 lbs brought $425.00/cwt—the highest 6-weight price ever recorded in the U.S.—while 39 head at 705 lbs sold for $369.00, ranking third all-time nationally for 7-weights. That same day, the barn set records with 21 head at 433 lbs selling for $462.50 (4-weights) and 17 head at 846 lbs at $329.50 (8-weights). The record-setting run began June 30, led by two heavyweight drafts: 63 head at 906 lbs brought $315.25 (4th all-time nationally), and 67 head at 902 lbs sold for $313.75 (10th all-time), both setting barn and state records for 9-weights.
