The most jaw-dropping sale of the day—and according to Corbitt Wall, the top quote in the entire country on Thursday—came from Enid as well: 50 head of 909-lb steers sold for $315.00/cwt, a price that now ranks as the third-highest 9-weight steer sale in U.S. history. With a total of nine new 9-weight price records set during the sale, Enid firmly established itself as the national benchmark for heavy feeders this week.
