Iowa is also showing good progress with corn planting at 29% complete, up from 10% last week and 8% last year.

Soybean planting in the U.S. has also improved, with 19% of the crop now planted, compared to 9% last week and 7% last year. Similarly, soybean planting in Iowa has progressed to 16% complete, up from 5% last week and 4% last year.

Cotton planting in the U.S. has reached 15% completion, slightly higher than the 12% last week and the same as last year. However, in Texas, cotton planting has increased to 20% complete, compared to 18% last week and 20% last year.

Oat planting in the U.S. has advanced to 49% complete, up from 42% last week and 44% last year. Nebraska is leading the way in oat planting progress, with 84% of the crop now planted, compared to 68% last week and 87% last year.

Winter wheat headed in the U.S. has increased to 25% complete, compared to 18% last week and 21% last year. Kansas is showing even greater progress, with winter wheat headed now at 11% complete, up from 3% last week and 9% last year.

Finally, the winter wheat condition in the U.S. has improved slightly, with 28% of the crop now rated as good to excellent, compared to 26% last week and 27% last year.

Overall, the crop progress report suggests that planting and growth are generally on track for the season, with good progress being made in several key crops.
