Beaver County (Beaver, OK) continued its record-breaking streak for the third consecutive week, securing the best July in the barnโ€™s history. On Tuesday, the market shattered expectations with 22 barn records, 12 state records, and 6 national records. Among the standout achievements were new all-time national highs in the 4-, 8-, 9-, and 10-weight categories. Notable sales included 13 head weighing 403 lbs that brought $515.00, 105 head at 837 lbs selling for $345.25, and 54 head at 927 lbs reaching $327.50โ€”all setting new number-one marks. Additionally, Beaver set a new all-time 10-weight record with 101 head averaging 1,004 lbs at $316.75, now the highest 1000โ€“1099 lb sale in barn history.

Philip Livestock (Philip, SD) had a standout Tuesday, setting 14 new barn records, including all-time highs for the 6-, 7-, 8-, 9-, and 10-weight steer categories. Among the highlights were five of the highest prices ever paid at the barn for 7-weights:

In addition to the barn records, two sales reached historic national levels. A group of 68 head weighing 878 lbs sold for $347.00, ranking as the 7th highest 8-weight steer price in U.S. history. Another standout was 59 head at 927 lbs that brought $336.25, now the 3rd highest 9-weight sale ever recorded nationally.

On Tuesday, the feeder cattle futures and cash markets were closely aligned, with the August CME Feeder Cattle contract settling at $336.20, up $2.675 on the day. The National Steer Price came in nearly even with futures at $336.46, rising $5.60 and holding a narrow premium of just $0.26. Meanwhile, the RTI 7-day Feeder Index registered at $332.71, up $1.10 but still carrying a $3.49 discount to the board. The convergence between cash and futures highlights strong market alignment, with firm demand across both physical and paper markets.

Feeder cattle sales on Tuesday were led by Beaver County in Beaver, OK, with 3,420 head sold. OKC West in El Reno, OK followed with 1,835 head. Philip in Philip, SD reported 1,313 head, while Stockmens in Yankton, SD moved 1,185 head. Knoxville in Mascot, TN rounded out the top markets with 981 head.   Receipts on Tuesday were down 34% from last Tuesday.

Ten-weight feeder cattle at Beaver County (Beaver, OK) set multiple records on Tuesday, with five of the top ten all-time sales happening that day. The top three sales ever at the barn were all set, including 101 head at 1,004 lbs selling for $316.75, 56 head at 1,009 lbs at $315.75, and 103 head at 1,002 lbs at $315.00. Two more salesโ€”91 head at 1,046 lbs for $304.00 and 54 head at 1,076 lbs for $302.00โ€”also made the top ten list. The top two sales now rank 7th and 8th all-time nationally for 10-weight feeder cattle.
