Brazil continues to dominate as the world’s largest beef exporter, shipping an estimated 7.88 billion pounds in 2024—nearly double the exports of Australia, the second-largest supplier at 4.11 billion pounds. India follows closely behind with 3.47 billion pounds, benefiting from its strong buffalo meat export industry.
The United States, while a major beef producer, ranks fourth at 2.95 billion pounds, as much of its production is consumed domestically. Argentina, New Zealand, and the European Union also contribute significantly to global beef trade, with exports ranging between 1.48 and 1.80 billion pounds.
Canada and Uruguay round out the top exporters, maintaining strong demand for their high-quality beef in international markets. With global protein consumption on the rise, these countries continue to play a vital role in supplying beef to key markets such as China, the Middle East, and North America.
