Champions Selected at Northern American International Livestock Exposition Gelbvieh and Balancer® Show

Lincoln, Nebraska – The 2021 Northern American International Livestock Exposition Open Gelbvieh & Balancer® Show was held on Monday, November 15, 2021, in Louisville, Kentucky. Exhibitors welcomed judge Terry Burks of Bowling Green, Kentucky to evaluate and sort through 11 Gelbvieh females, two Gelbvieh bulls, 23 Balancer females and four Balancer bulls.

Grand champion Gelbvieh female was PMCJ PMFG Great Expectations 953G owned by Clayton Wyatt Jones of Glasgow, Kentucky. This female was born on November 15, 2019, and sired by EGL Lifeline B101. She first earned the title of champion senior heifer.

Reserve champion Gelbvieh female was GGGE 3G Cowgirl Hope 010H owned by Emily Griffiths of Kendallville, Indiana. First earning the title of champion junior heifer, this January 4, 2020, born female was sired by GGGE 3G Z-Score 242Z.

Champion Gelbvieh bull was BCFG Butlers General Hatton 702J ET born February 10, 2021, and owned by Butler Creek Farms of Milton, Tennessee. This bull first earned the title of champion junior bull calf and is sired by JRI General Patton 213B97 ET.

Reserve champion Gelbvieh bull was BCFG Butlers General Lee J207 ET owned by Butler Creek Farms of Milton, Tennessee. Born February 1, 2021, and sired by JRI General Patton 213B97 ET, this bull first earned the title of reserve champion junior bull calf.

Grand champion Balancer female was VLK Drip Drop H027 owned by Jentry Johnson of Maquoketa, Iowa. This female was born March 11, 2020, and first earned the title of champion junior heifer and is sired by VLK Young Gun C503.

Reserve grand champion Balancer female was GHGF Two Step 200H owned by Cody Clary of Saluda, South Carolina. Sired by GHGF Fortune Teller E7, this female was born May 11, 2020, and first earned the title of champion intermediate heifer.

Grand champion Balancer bull was LHC Chucky 0165H owned by Locust Hill Farms of Ruffin, North Carolina. Born November 1, 2020, and first named the champion senior bull calf, this bull was sired by PLA Big Dog 101Y.

Reserve grand champion Balancer bull was PCFS Night Moves 1G owned by Parris Cattle Farms of Canton, North Carolina. Sired by S&R Roundtable J328 and born October 26, 2019, this bull first earned the title of champion senior bull.
