Cattle weights in November record high

U.S. live cattle weights averaged 1,425 pounds in November 2024, up 7 pounds from the prior month and up 38 pounds from last year.  Cattle weights have averaged 1,396 pounds so far in 2024.

Cattle weights averaged 1,365 pounds in 2023, down 5 pounds from 2022.   Cattle weights averaged 1,370 pounds in 2022, down 1 pound from 2021.  Cattle weights averaged 1,371 pounds in 2021, down 2 pounds from 2020. 

Cattle weights averaged 1,345 pounds in 2019, compared to 1,351 pounds in 2018.    Cattle weights averaged 1,349 pounds in 2017, down 14 pounds from 2016.
