U.S. CATTLE REPORT: Choice gets good bounce will select tanks widening spread more than $8; Feeders drop under $177; 156 steers (908#) from Worthing, South Dakota at $192.00; Slaughter at 128K    
 
RTI (REAL TIME INDEX):  $176.79 (+0.08) -- The RTI (7-day cash feeder cattle average) is $0.09 LOWER than the nearby futures ($176.88).  The cash and futures market are in parity for the first time in months.   The largest steer sale on Monday brought $181.50 at Joplin.  The average price for the top 10 steer strings sold on Monday was $176.29.
 
TUESDAY SALES: Ozarks Regional; Bluegrass Lexington; Central; F&T; Beaver County; Knoxville; Bluegrass Maysville; Cleveland County; Four State (WATCH LIVE)    
 
JOPLIN REGIONAL: The largest string sold on Monday at Joplin Regional Stockyards was 371 steers (920#) at $169.00. The second largest string was 255 steers (769#) at $181.50    
 
REAL TIME PRICES: The largest STEER string (700-899#) sold on Monday was 255 steers (769#) from Joplin, Missouri at $181.50 (7th largest steer string sold at Joplin so far in 2022, 3rd highest price paid for steers for 100+ head)    
 
REAL TIME PRICES: The largest CALF string sold in the last 7 days was 87 steers (435#) from Winfield, Kansas at $230.50 (Largest calf string sold at Winfield so far in 2022, 3rd highest price for 10+ head)    
 
CATTLE MARKETS: The cash index was sharply higher for the day, gaining 3.56 to 177.19. The Jan feeders are within about .55 of their next support level of 176.33 (Schwieterman)
