Montana Members Mobilize Today!
Tell House Ag Committee members to vote YES on HB 418
Ban mRNA vaccines in Montana for animals
House Ag Committee hearing for HB 418 is set for Thursday, February 20th at 3pm in Room 137.
Talking Points in Support of HB 418
- Most other vaccines/medications for livestock have extensive research on safety and health risks, mRNA vaccines should be held to the same rigorous standards prior to consideration
- Animal disease is a major concern among cattlemen, but we are cautious about solutions that may have even more negative impacts
- USCA is a strong supporter of transparency, and at this time there is no system to track whether or not animal products in consumer shelves have received mRNA vaccines. The public is entitled to a safe and transparent food supply
We need USCA members to help show support for passage of the bill. There are multiple ways to accomplish this, and encourage our members to do any or all of the following actions:
- Testify at the hearing! House Ag hearing is Thursday, Feb 20th at 3:00 pm. Craft testimony. Practice. Arrive early. Sign in. Present when proponents are called to the stand.
- Call the members of the House Agriculture Committee before NOON on Thursday, Feb 20th. Call (406) 444-4800 during business hours to reach the Information Desk to leave a message to the full House Ag committee and ask them to vote yes on HB 418.
- Comment or Testify Online by setting up a public participation account. Apply to participate/comment/online testimony at https://www.legmt.gov/participate/ let the committee know your concerns and ask them to support HB 418.
- Email House Ag Committee members your message of support and ask to VOTE YES on HB 418. Share your concerns with HB 119 today by personalizing this template and sharing with your legislators and House Ag Committee members! Click the House Ag Committee members emails below to get started!
