Amarillo Farm & Ranch Show Canceled For 2020

IDEAg Group LLC., owned by American Farm Bureau Federation, producers of the Amarillo Farm & Ranch Show, has canceled the event for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We announce this decision with great disappointment but the well-being of our exhibitors, attendees, staff, volunteers and their families is our first priority," said AFBF President Zippy Duvall. "We remain committed to providing educational content online this year and to holding an in-person event in 2021."

Amarillo Farm & Ranch Show, scheduled for Dec. 1-3 in Amarillo, Texas, has served farmers and the agriculture community for over 35 years. IDEAg management confirms that aspects of the show will be made available to attendees virtually this year to help all farmers and ranchers learn about new technology and farming techniques as well as the opportunity to maintain their Continuing Education Credits. Virtual programming will include the Panhandle Farm and Ranch Management Symposium from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and Cotton U, a new program launched in collaboration with High Plains Journal in 2019.

"The Cotton U event was highly rated among attendees from 2019 and we want to continue providing high-level education and collaboration sessions with cotton farmers in the Texas panhandle," said Melissa Sanders Carroll, executive director, IDEAg.

Next year's Amarillo Farm & Ranch Show is scheduled for Nov. 30 - Dec. 2, 2021. Visit AmarilloFarmShow.com for more information about 2020 virtual event activities as well as information about the 2021 shows.
